Building Papers (BS1521)

Building papers manufactured to BS1521 are also available in a variety of sizes and meterages. The A1F material is used for prevention of draughts or the ingress of water into wall or pitched roof structures. It is also used for the flooring trade to stop moisture coming up through the floor boards and affecting laminate flooring.

The B1F grade is used for the protection of concrete during curing or as an underlay to concrete to prevent moisture being absorbed by the base. The B2 Grade is used as a temporary protection paper in the building trade.

The A1F can be supplied in 25m, 50m or 100m rolls usually of 1000mm wide. The B1F is usually supplied in 50m rolls and is 1250mm wide The B2 Grade is supplied in 100m rolls and is 1000mm wide.

The polythene coated reinforced variety is used as an alternative to go under laminate flooring to avoid moisture coming through and damaging the flooring from the underneath. It is also used for the protective wrapping of worktops.

Floor Protection Papers

These are generally placed on top of laminate flooring to protect during work or on top of old flooring to act as a dust cover for ease of laying down laminate flooring. These are available in 3 grammages:

125gsm Kraft Liner
280gsm Test Liner
400gsm Test Liner

The third grade is available however; the first 2 options are stock items. The 125gsm can be supplied in 1000mm wide rolls in either 25m, 50m or 100m rolls. The 280gsm can be supplied in 1000mm or 1100mm in 20kgs rolls.

Heating & Ventilation

We are currently in the process of being a distributor of various foil products. One is a reinforced aluminium vapour seal which is used in the production of thermal pipe insulation. It is 18 micron thick and conforms to European Fire Regulations. It is available in 1200mm x 250m rolls.
