Coatings

At Somerville & Morrison Ltd. we have a vast range of experience with use of customers own solutions. Being a silent manufacturer for a number of companies, we have the capability of manufacturing goods to customers’ specifications and shipping it to their customers in the sizes required with ABSOLUTELY NO REFERENCE to ourselves. We can either use our own paper or paper supplied to us. Solutions we have worked with in the past include Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) solution, Sodium Benzoate Solution, Zinc protective solution, Brass protective solution, Starch solution and VCI solutions for the medical instrument trade. It can be supplied in roll and sheet form with the customers’ required logos up to a maximum of 2 colours for 1500mm and upto 4 colours for sizes upto 1200mm. Sheets can be supplied as small as 50mm x 75mm up to 1500mm x 2300mm. Rolls can be supplied in coils or roll form with a number of core sizes available: 32mm, 50mm, 76mm & 100mm. Coils can be supplied as small as 50mm up to 1500mm. We have a close working arrangement with various haulage companies for a number of years which allows for an efficient distribution network within the UK and Europe. Conversion

We at Somerville & Morrison Ltd. have a vast range of experience with converting paper materials from our products. We are now proud to be able to offer these skills to companies who have their own material that they would like converted.

We have a cutting machine which has the capable of cutting up to 2.3m in length and 1.8m in width and another machine which has the capability to cut sheets 1.65m wide and 3.05m long.

There are coiling machines available that convert from 75mm widths up to 1800mm. For rolls we offer a variety of core sizes which are: coreless, 32mm, 50mm, 76mm and 100mm.

There are guillotines which are able of cutting customers own sheeted material to the required sizes.

Our conversion department consists of 6 rewinders, 3 cutting machines and 2 guillotines.
