SomerTec Krafts
| | | | | | More commonly known as anti corrosion papers or VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) or VPI (Vapour Phase Inhibitor) papers. These are printed with the company’s dragon logo or with the logo that you require up to 2 colours depending on quantities required.
They are generally supplied to the automotive industry unprinted. The papers are also used in a variety of markets and can be used to protect steel, copper/brass, tin plate, aluminium, nickel and cast iron. It is used to inhibit corrosion of afore mentioned metals during transportation and storage. |

| Commonly used in the aeronautic and automotive industries as well as steel related industries like wire and tubes. The grammage of the paper is dependant on the application it is used for.

These can be supplied in coil or roll form going from 75mm to 1500mm. The rolls are generally supplied in 200m rolls or can be supplied in meterages up to a maximum roll size of 1000mm outside diameter. They can also be supplied in sheeted form to required sizes. |

These are more commonly known as creped papers. These can be bitumen laminated, wax laminated, waxed, VCI treated or standard.
The VCI Treated form is used for rust protection with slight cushioning for wrapping steel items. It can be supplied in coil form from 60mm to 1000mm. It can also be supplied in sheeted form as an interleave for between sheets of steel. |

SomerUnion Krafts

SomerDurable

This is our steel wrapping product. It is a polythene laminate which can be reinforced for a more robust product. It is supplied on VCI Treated brown paper and can also be printed if required up to a width of 1500mm in two colours. It can be supplied in 2 colours of polythene: clear and silver.

| It is generally used as a wrapper in the steel industry for large reels of metal strip for transport and storage. The VCI treated form is mainly used for storage of the metal coils and other steel related areas.
SDVRB130 (Reinforced VCI Treated on brown)
Available polythene sizes for the different colours are: silver (1200mm & 1500mm) or clear (1000mm, 1250mm, 1400mm, 1500mm). It is generally supplied in 100m but rolls can be made to order. |

SomerMelt Krafts
| | | | | | This is supplied VCI Treated as a protective wrapper for metal products. There is available as a lamination of Bleached Kraft onto Brown VCI Treated Kraft which allows for the bleached side to be printed with a company logo up to 4 colours up to 1200mm wide.
SomerMelt V180 (VCI Treated White on Brown)
It can be readily available in coil form from 50mm wide up to 1500mm wide and is also available in sheeted form to what ever you requirements ranging from 100mm x 100mm to 1500mm x 3000mm sheets. It is available with cores and coreless. Rolls are available up to a maximum outside diameter of 800mm. |

SomerCoat Kraft
| | | | | | This is our acrylic coated kraft. It is fully recyclable and is used as wrappers for paper to avoid moisture digression. It is also used for wrapping steel and other metal products. It can be manufactured in both reel and sheet form up to a maximum width of 1500mm. It is an alternative to PE Coated Kraft in that it can be put through pulping machines for waste management where as PE Krafts can not. There is also a VCI treated range of acrylic coated krafts as well.

SomerTec Polythene
| | | | | | This is not a stock item for Somerville & Morrison Ltd., but it is sourceable. We have the capability of sourcing small quantities of VCI treated polythene bags. The standard colours are blue, green and yellow. The micron and gauges of the polythene are dependant on quantity and sizes. |

SomerCushion VCI Treated

The more specialised grades are our waterproof corrugated product and the VCI treated corrugated. It is supplied in 100m roll form. The waterproof grade is supplied single faced with the VCI treated side as the fluting and an acrylic coating on the outside. Supplied in reel form of 1000mm x 100m.
VCI Treated Corrugated
This is our anti corrosion option. It is available in single faced or as a double faced layer pad. It is made to a ‘B’ Flute. It is available printed with the customer logo or is supplied with our Dragon logo.
VCI Treated Boxes
This is an alternative to using VCI polythene inside a box. In this case, the inside lining of the box is VCI treated and helps to reduce the cost of using VCI polythene. The box is of the form of 0201 Regular and is slotted with glue joined. The box is built in the following specification:

VCI Treated Paper Bags
This is an alternative to using VCI polythene polythene bags. In this case, the whole bag is VCI treated and helps to reduce the cost of using VCI polythene. It is made from the SomerTec S50 Grade VCI Kraft. It comes in three standard sizes:
